Electric Love by Børns

With the album by Børns titled “Dopamine”, it is just obvious that this song will bring pleasure and feeling to your body, just like dopamine does. When that chorus comes in and the climax drops, all you want to do is feel as happy as you can be. The unique sound of Børns’ voice exemplifies the serotonin you can feel while listening to this song.

Bennie and the Jets by Elton John

This song represents the term of an “oldie but a goodie”. Nothing like a classic Elton John song to feel good on a bad day. The banging of the piano keys and the feeling of the drums on the song can wake you right up and take you right back to the 70’s, being enclosed in Elton’s crazy world.

The Middle by Jimmy Eat World

“Everything, everything will be just fine”. This line in the chorus of the song “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World represents feeling down and wanting to bring yourself any good feelings. Knowing that everything will be fine and alright, as the song says, reminds you that you can do it and that things are looking up.

I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston

When I hear this song, all I want to do is get up and dance. Whitney Houston starts her song out with a big “WOO!” giving the listener a jolt of energy as this classic 80s anthem can brighten up your day. Having the excitement from this song releases those endorphins to turn that mood around.

Juice by Lizzo

As Lizzo keeps rising and rising on the charts and representing female power all over the world, her song “Juice” has an upbeat and funky feeling. With lyrics that can boost anyone’s self-esteem, “Juice” is bound to make your confidence go way up. Even just listening to Lizzo makes me smile.

Higher Love by Whitney Houston and Kygo

Kygo took a classic song sung by Whitney Houston, originally by Steve Winwood, and remixed it into a huge summer banger. Played on every radio station, every teenager’s car, and all over social media, this song expresses positive vibes.

The amazing soul behind Whitney Houston’s voice mixed with the more contemporary house music from Kygo produces a smash that will make you feel happy.

Colour Me – Mowe Remix by Juke Ross

This remix is one of my favorites and my go-to song that I blast in my car speakers when I have had a really horrible day. This remix is fun, happy, and an overall energy booster. Juke Ross’s voice is bound to take you into your happiness place, with lyrics that melt your soul.

September Song by J.P. Cooper

A few years ago, you could go to any local radio station and find this song playing. “September Song” by J.P. Cooper talks about a past relationship, and getting excited to see that person now. But I take it as starting fresh. This song helps me to start my day fresh with the fun and refreshing vibes.

Just Fine by Mary J. Blige

Hands down classic R&B bop. Mary J. Blige makes it known that her life is just fine and she is doing fantastic. With the confidence and spunk that Mary J. Blige puts on her song, she wants her listeners to know that although someone might be able to take you down, it will be just fine.

Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars

A few years ago, this song was top of the charts. Still, in the present day, this song is on the top of my charts. The rhythm and funk that Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson bring to the song will make anyone get up out of their seat and feel the music. This song is an immediate good feeling to the soul!

Listening to these classic songs or fresh and new songs is bound to take you into a better mindset. It can release serotonin and create a happier environment for you. I promise that after listening to these songs, you are bound to feel some sort of happiness all around!
